One SKU record · four sets of rules · drafts only

Same product, fourth write-up this week.
This time by eBay's rules.

By the third platform you are copying the second and deleting the parts that do not fit, which is how a competitor's brand name ends up in your eBay title and how the item specifics get left half empty. That second one costs more than it looks: on eBay the free-text description matters less than most sellers assume and the structured fields matter more, because that is what buyers filter on. A listing with brand, MPN, size and material blank does not rank badly, it does not appear.

One source record, four versions written from it

01

Item specifics get filled from the record, not left blank

Brand, MPN, dimensions, material and whatever else the category demands come out of the same SKU record that fed your Amazon bullets, so they are consistent by construction. Fields the record cannot fill come back as a short list of what you still need to supply, which is a much better outcome than a listing that silently went live with four blanks in it.

02

Rewritten for the site, not translated across

An Amazon bullet reads like an advert on eBay, and an Etsy tag set is not a keyword string with commas in it. Each version is written from the underlying facts for its own site, so the framing and the field structure change while the claims stay identical everywhere, which is what stops you making a promise on one platform you cannot support on another.

03

Pull what is live before you rewrite it

The eBay seller connector, alongside Amazon Seller Central, Shopify Admin, Etsy, Walmart Marketplace and WooCommerce, fetches the current listing so the rewrite starts from what buyers actually see rather than from your memory of what you wrote in March. Every connector runs through an application you register, with credentials encrypted on your own machine.

eBay permission boundaries

Check both the user agreement and API license

Your application permissions determine which connected actions are available.

Automated access needs permission

eBay restricts automated access to its services without prior express permission, including LLM-driven bots. The rule is broader than checkout.

Seller APIs have their own terms

The seller connector uses eBay's official APIs. Its use remains subject to eBay's API license, granted scopes and applicable approvals.

No separate server to host

Orkas runs the seller connector locally with your registered application's credentials. You do not need to deploy a separate eBay MCP server.

Nothing publishes without you

Drafts come back for review. Publishing, price changes and anything touching a live listing are actions you take, and irreversible steps ask before they run rather than reporting afterwards.

FAQ

Before you connect a seller account

What does setting up the eBay connector actually involve?

You register a developer application on eBay, grant it the scopes you want it to have, and paste the credentials in. It is not install-and-go, and an eBay seller account in good standing is a precondition on their side. Plenty of people skip the connector entirely and work from CSV exports, which needs no registration at all.

Can it list the same item on eBay, Amazon and Etsy at once?

It writes all three versions in one pass, which is the part that takes your afternoon. It does not push them live. Worth a thought anyway: the reason those versions differ is that the sites reward different things, and a listing published identically everywhere tends to perform badly everywhere.

Will it guarantee my listing ranks or gets approved?

No. No exposure, ranking, conversion or review outcome is promised, and infringing brand terms, competitor trademark stuffing and misleading comparisons are not generated at all. In restricted categories the wording stays conservative and you are told to have a person check it.

Which other marketplaces are covered?

Amazon Seller Central, Shopify Admin, Etsy, Walmart Marketplace, WooCommerce, Mercado Libre, Shopee, TikTok Shop and Magento internationally, plus Taobao and Tmall, JD, Pinduoduo, Douyin, Kuaishou, 1688, Xiaohongshu, Youzan and Weimob for China. Each needs its own application registration, and Etsy additionally requires passing their API review.

The SKU record already exists. Write the eBay version from it.

Free, macOS and Windows. Connectors optional; CSV works from day one.
