If you sell on four platforms,
you write everything four times.

The product is the same. Amazon wants keywords packed into the title, Taobao wants thirty characters. The main image is 1:1 here and 3:4 there. The same complaint shows up as a one-star review on one platform and a return reason on another. Orkas is one desktop app that knows the shape each storefront wants, so you describe the product once and the versions come out of that.

Where the day goes

Four things you end up doing once per platform

01

The same SKU, four different pages

Amazon wants a keyword-dense title and five bullets. Shopify wants a paragraph. Taobao wants a 30-character title and a long image column. Etsy wants tags. Writing the product once and adapting it four times is where a working day goes. So it keeps the shape each platform wants: you describe the product once and the versions come out of that.

02

One shoot, every aspect ratio

The main image, the detail column, the square social crop and the vertical ad cut are the same product photographed once. It works out the creative first and then generates the shots, using your own photo as the reference. The label text and the colour carry through instead of coming back as something that merely resembles the product.

03

Reviews scattered across four back offices

The same defect shows up as a one-star on Amazon, a return reason on Shopify and a 中评 on Taobao, and nobody reads all three. Export all three and hand over the files. Buyer identifiers come out first, complaints from the different sources merge into the same themes, and the list is ordered by what to fix first. A packaging problem stays separate from a promise the listing should never have made.

04

Numbers that never line up

Every platform exports a different report with a different name for the same column. It reads the files as they come, says which figures are measured and which are assumed, and puts the margin sheet in front of you with the assumptions written on it.

What it connects to

Sixteen storefronts, or none at all

Connecting a store is optional and uses credentials you create. Nothing asks you to move your data somewhere first.

International marketplaces

Amazon Seller Central through your own SP-API private application, plus Shopify Admin, eBay Seller, Etsy Seller, Walmart Marketplace, WooCommerce and Mercado Libre Global Selling. Credentials are yours and stay encrypted on your device; buyer PII is not requested.

Chinese platforms

Taobao and Tmall, 1688, JD, Pinduoduo, Douyin Shop, Kuaishou Shop, Youzan, Weimob WOS and Xiaohongshu merchant. This is the half that tools built abroad usually cannot reach, and the reason anyone selling on both sides ends up maintaining two sets of them.

What sits around the store

Fulfilment and print-on-demand through ShipEngine, Shippo, Printify and Gelato; money through PayPal, Stripe, Xero and QuickBooks; demand through Google Ads, Meta, Klaviyo and Mailchimp; support through Gorgias and Zendesk. Connect only what you actually use.

And the folder on your disk

No connector is required to start. The files already sitting on your machine, the business reports, the advertising reports, the review sheets and the product photos, are exactly what it works on. Connecting a store only removes the trip to the dashboard to download them.

In practice

Three jobs that get worse with every platform you add

Launching one SKU on four storefronts

Describe the product once and four platform-shaped listings come out, each with its own title structure and keyword placement, all checked for compliance. A list comes with them, naming the claims that need evidence before anything goes live.

  • 4 platforms
  • 1 brief

A price change that has to propagate

Change the positioning and the copy that justified the old price stops being true everywhere at once. It rewrites the affected bullets and A+ modules per platform, and pulls out the claims that were tied to the old price so you can see them.

A quarter of reviews you never merged

Four exports, four schemas, one product. It reads them as they come, lines up the fields that line up, says which ones did not, and produces one ranked list of fixes with the sample bias written on it.

FAQ

What sellers ask before installing anything

Which platforms does Orkas actually connect to?

The connector catalogue covers Amazon Seller Central (via your own SP-API private application), Shopify Admin, eBay Seller, Etsy Seller, Walmart Marketplace, WooCommerce and Mercado Libre Global Selling on the international side, and Taobao/Tmall, 1688, JD, Pinduoduo, Douyin Shop, Kuaishou Shop, Youzan, Weimob WOS and Xiaohongshu on the Chinese side. There are also fulfilment, payment and advertising services such as ShipEngine, Shippo, Printify, PayPal and Google Ads. Every one uses credentials you supply, stored encrypted on your own device. Without a connector configured, the same skills run on files you export from the seller back office yourself.

Is this a store management or ERP tool?

No. It does not hold your inventory, route your orders or reprice for you, and pretending otherwise would waste your time. It decides a category, writes the listing, plans the creative and reads the reviews, then reads from or writes to a platform through a connector you approved. If you need order routing and stock sync, keep the ERP. This sits upstream of it.

Does selling in China and abroad really work in one client?

That is the specific reason the connector catalogue covers both sides. The awkward part of cross-border work is not the translation. The same product needs a different title structure, a different image convention and a different compliance vocabulary on each marketplace, and that knowledge usually lives in separate tools or separate people. It keeps those rules for Amazon, Shopify, Shopee, AliExpress, Taobao and Pinduoduo, so you describe the product once and the versions come out together.

What happens to the language of my listings?

Orkas runs in English, Chinese, Japanese and Portuguese. When it writes a listing it writes for the destination market rather than translating your original. The difference is commercial: a translated bullet and a bullet written for Amazon US are not the same document, because the search terms buyers actually type are not translations of each other.

Can it pull competitor data off the platforms?

It does not scrape marketplaces by default, and it says so rather than failing quietly. If you ask it to collect data, it first states the platform terms, the login and rate-limit reality, and the authorisation risk. What it does readily is work with what you can legitimately supply: back-office exports, authorised API results, published pages, and material you gathered yourself.

Is it free, and where does my data go?

The app is free and open source under MIT. Model calls are billed by whichever provider you connect: your own OpenAI, Anthropic or Google account, or an Orkas plan. Product files and exports are read from the folder on your disk rather than uploaded as a corpus, but the conversation itself, including what the agent quotes out of those files, goes to the model provider you picked. Review exports should have buyer identifiers redacted first; the review skill does that before it analyses anything.

What each storefront demands before it will let you in

Every row is a first-party application you own, not a service that holds your credentials for you. Orkas calls each platform's official API from your machine and keeps the values encrypted on the device. Walkthroughs for three of these: Etsy, eBay and WooCommerce.
